As of September 2009 printing is free for students with access to Walter Light Hall room 310 and Goodwin Hall room 248. We try to keep the printers full of paper. However, paper is available from Monday to Friday, 8:30-4:30 in the main office on the 5th floor of Goodwin Hall.
Please do not abuse this privilege. We monitor usage. If printing is abused or becomes too costly to the School of Computing, we will have to review the situation and may either charge for printing or remove the printers altogether.
Implementing a locked-down printing system will be a costly annoyance for both staff and students. We would rather use our limited resources to improve the lab and your computing experience here at Queen’s. It is up to all of us to be mindful of what we print. All of this aside, please consider the environment before sending large print jobs.
