I welcome feedback about my courses. There are many ways to tell me what you think about the course. I will be asking for specific feedback periodically in class, and you will have a chance to complete a Queen’s course evaluation (USATs) near the end of the term. Please feel free to talk with me in person about how the course is going at any time.
If you feel shy about talking with me directly, there are other options. Send me e-mail or post a comment on a onQ forum; the nice thing about the latter option is that it may start further discussion. If you wish to be completely anonymous, you can contact COMPSA, or another member of the CISC faculty or staff, and ask them to pass on your comments to me minus identifying information. Just remember that if you stay anonymous there won’t be an opportunity for a conversation.
I would appreciate hearing both about things you find helpful (so I will continue doing them) and about things you don’t like (so I can change if possible). Any polite feedback is welcome and will have absolutely no bearing on your marks in the course. Feedback from students does influence the way I teach!
